We will spend two days driving from Dublin to Lahnich in August.
Which route is most scenic?
Are there any interesting things to do and see along the way?
Can anyone suggest a place halfway between Dublin and Lahnich to spend the night?

Suggest driving Dublin to Galway. Great city to overnight , lots to see and great food and traditional music
Next day route via Kinvara and Burren and Ailawee caves to Lahinch

Tullamore has the D.E.W. Heritage museum (and whiskey tastings!) and there is a neat castle nearby (Charleville). Also, you'll go near Clonmacnoise (excellent monastic ruins) along your route to Lahnich, would also be worth a stop.
