Drive from Ballycastle to Belfast

Has anyone driven from Ballycastle to Belfast along the coastal causeway, I think A2? Was looking for a scenic drive back and thought this might be nice after a few days in the Northern Antrim Coast area (we will have already seen the Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Dunluce Castle, etc.). Just not sure how long it is and if we would be better off going the route of A44/A26/M2. Any help or thoughts on timing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's a beautiful drive thru the Glens of Antrim, best enjoyed on a sunny day. The drive hugs the coast in many areas and is reminiscent of Hwy. 1 in California. How long it will take to complete it all the way down to Belfast is entirely up to you. We thought it was ready made to order for meandering - there are several castles and other points of interest along the way, but the main attraction is the scenic drive itself.
Do check the weather before you commit however. Our drive began in heavy fog and I was starting to regret our choice until the sun emerged and revealed one of the prettiest coastal drives we've seen. The castle at Glenarm is a nice place for lunch.
