If we go out to dinner at night un Dublin, Killarney etc.. polo shirt or button down? Daughter wanted to bring fancy clothes and I'm saying it's not needed. Am I right? We don't plan on 4 star places.
Not unless you plan to go to the few high end Michelin starred restaurants and even then, I don’t see any that are anything more than “smart casual.”
We mostly went to pubs and had great meals. I mostly wore jeans and a t-shirt. Occasionally a short sleeved shirt with buttons.
She should bring what she wants to wear.
G3rryCee, I think the daughter is asking TMK to dress up in a polo or button down? That's how I read it anyways. No need to "dress up" at all as your everyday attire would be sufficient for a mean out in those places unless you are going to a super fancy place, which I would not recommend as the food in pub style restaurants is pretty good (they even eat their hamburger with a knife and fork in those places).
