I will be traveling with my husband and 84 year old mother and am looking for advice on planning a 14 day trip flying in and out of Shannon. This is the first trip for my husband and the third for my mother and I. We have seen much of the island and my mother would like to return to spend more time in Dingle. I would like to go to Donegal as well since we have only been as far north as Westport, however it seems like a lot of driving and this may not be best for my mother. Any thoughts on an itinerary that would keep this as relaxing as possible would be appreciated. Thank you all.
Mary Ann, you might consider our paid Trip Consulting service. If you are able to book an appointment this month, our best Ireland expert will still be at home. Or, with your previous experience, it may be that you don't have that many questions, but could pose a more specific question here.
I think we would need a little more information from you in order to help with an itinerary. Where else besides Donegal and Dingle do you want to go? It's about a 7 hr drive between the two so best broken up with a stay somewhere halfway between? Since you've been there before you must have some idea where else you want to go and where you want to return with your husband that you've already been to. Galway is a good half-way point unless you've been there and don't want to return.
