DoDublin or Dublin Pass

I just discovered these products. My wife and I visited Dublin about 3 years ago and did the main attractions. But, we are OK doing HOHO again. We are spending 2 days in Dublin. We will be spending some time in Dublin on genealogy research. Then, we need to get to the airport to pick up a car rental. We are arriving in Dublin on a cruise ship. So, we only need transport to the airport. Any advice on which one of these would be the better option. Thanks for your responses in advance.

If you only need transportation to the airport, I would look into airlink. We took it to and from the airport and it was great
