I am an American Citizen Flying from Nice' France to Dublin, Ireland with a connecting flight in Amsterdam. I will only be at AMS for an hour and a half.. Do I need a covid test for the France to Netherlands part? I am fully vaxed and boosted and not leaving the airport.. appreciate any insight as I am a touch confused on the requirements..
The airline will be able to tell you. Generally you need to follow the guidelines of the destination, not the through airport. Thats what I was told for my coming flight through Toronto.
Thanks Jessica.. that is what I was thinking.. I don't need a covid test to enter Ireland from the US or directly from France so assumed even with a layover in AMS I wouldn't need one.
I am transiting through AMS next week. The last time I looked, you did not need a covid test to transit there. that may only apply to vaccinated travelers, which I am, so I didn't look at any other requirements. If you google something like "covid requirements transit passengers Amsterdam" you should find the Dutch government's page with current requirements, including for transit passengers. You will have to search separately for Ireland's requirements to see if they require a covid test.
thanks Kayla appreciate it!
