Do hotels and bed and breakfast provide services to help guests print boarding passes and other online tickets? Or should I locate an Internet cafe?
Our small hotel in Paris had a computer in the lobby and we were able to print our boarding passes there. Might be a good idea to check with the places you are staying.
We are usually able to email our boarding passes to the hotel desk, and they will print them for us.
Many hotels have computers for guests, log into your account and print what you need. B&Bs may not have this option.
All of the times that we need to print board passes, the hotel or B&B had a computer. I would think you would have to be in a pretty remote location to not have access to a printer. However, Internet cafes are becoming a thing of the past.
Val,
I agree with all the previous posters. I've never stayed in any hotel or B&B that was not able to help us out. I usually make the request at a non-busy time, possibly the evening before (within the 24-hour period of pre-check in w/ the airline) when the hotel or B&B is not super busy checking in or checking out other guests. If it is a larger hotel, usually the dear soul working the late shift at the desk is just glad to have someone stop by to fight the boredom after the rush of evening check-ins.
But, I'd suggest inquiring when you check in (even if it is too early for pre-check-in w/ the airlines at that time), so you can ask for their recommendation for somewhere close by where you might be able to take care of it, if for some reason they don't have the equipment. But, with so much on line nowadays, it would be surprising if they could not help you.
And, what I've found is that even when I pre-print the boarding pass at home or at hotels, when I check in at the airport, I don't think there has EVER been a circumstance when flying internationally that the pass I printed was actually used....they always print a new one. So, just the pre-check in (on-line w/o printing) may be all you need to do, then either check in with by scanning your passport at the airline kiosk at the airport or by presenting it and your flight locator number at the check-in desk.
I check in on my iPhone or a computer, but I always end up getting a printed boarding pass at the airport. No need to print one before hand.
- If you reserved using a computer, they have a computer
- If they have a computer, they have a printer
- If you are a guest, they will help you
