Advice on Dingle/Sligo/Slieve League/Belfast/Trim leg of trip over 5 days

Hi, Looking for advice on the last half of our 2nd trip to Ireland, 5 days in mid September 2025. Day1 we will be driving from Dingle 3.5 hours to Galway and will spend a few hours/lunch. (We've been to Galway before but it was epically pouring, so we're hoping to finish what we were too drenched to see.) Then continuing on another 2 hours to spend the night in Sligo. Day2 we will drive about 2 hours each way to Slieve League, then return to Sligo for a 2nd night. Day3 we will drive 2.5-3 hours to Belfast for 1 night. Day 4 we will drive <2 hours to Trim to spend 2 nights, positioning ourselves for morning flights out of Dublin without being in city center.
Looking for these recommendations:
1. We chose to stay in Sligo rather than Enniskillen b/c we have been to Enniskillen before and want to see other places. We also prefer 2 nights for this stop as we will have just had three 1 night stays before this. But is there a better option for those 2 nights other than Sligo that positions us well for both the drive to Slieve League cliffs and to Belfast?
2. Looking for recommendations in Sligo - where to stay (we prefer accommodations that include breakfast), what to see/do including evenings, restaurants. .
3. Recommendations as to what to see/do between Sligo and Slieve League cliffs.
4. Recommendations on any "must sees" between Sligo and Belfast - but we don't want to lose too much time en route.
5. Recommendations on where to stay in Belfast, "must sees" other than Titanic and Game of Throne studio, restaurants and evening fun (we crash early)..
6. Recommendations on what to see between Belfast & Trim. We will be seeing Trim castle and Battle of the Boyne area.
Thank you for advice and recommendations!

  1. I stayed in a great AirBnB last summer that was at the edge of central Sligo, easy walking distance to restaurants. Has a few available dates in mid-September. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/571590207617236898?source_impression_id=p3_1748276595_P3n-e7BNvSrpQx-H
  2. Get fish and chips from the chippie in the alley opposite Anderson's Seafood Restaurant in Killybegs. Best fish and best chips of our trip. You can also take a boat ride out to see the cliffs from below. They are not as spectacular from the water like Moher, but it was a nice outing, and we saw dolphins on the way back. 4.You could drive through the Sperrins Mountains. It's a little out of your way, though.
  3. I'm not familiar with the monastic ruin at Monasterboice, but that's on your way to Trim.

Wonderful.seafood at Mournes in Belfast. One of the best restaurants we tried in all.of Ireland. We also really enjoyed a black cab tour and the commentary about the troubles. Be sure to have your ETA and a few pounds for Northern Ireland.
