Dingle Peninsula Loop Trip

How long should I allow for driving the loop?

It's only about 30 miles, but Rick suggests allowing "the better part of a day" for stopping and enjoying. You would still have time to move on and sleep in a different town, if that's the plan.

I think I spent about 4 hours, give or take. I might have spent more time, but I left my husband at our B&B nursing a Guinness hangover. I figured I should get back and check on him. ;-)

I agree with the 4 hours or so but it all depends on how much time you want to spend at the various sights. It is very archeology heavy which I really enjoy so we spent time wandering and shooing away sheep to see some of the forts. I really do suggest taking your time as well as making time for the Blasket Island museum which I found touching.

Have a great trip!

I agree with 4 hours being the norm. Be sure you get Rick's Ireland book. He does a great job down to the tenths of a mile what to watch for. It is some of the most stunning scenery in all of Ireland.
