Dingle Food Festival Oct. 2--3

Has anyone attended prior festivals? How crowded does this tiny village get during the festival??

I spent the entire Food Festival weekend in Dingle last year (2014) and had a great time. While lots of people were there, my buddy and I never felt like it was too crowded. We had plenty of room to move around and enjoyed mingling with the locals and various visitors. Some of the more narrow streets got a little congested, but not to the point where we couldn't move around or get by.

There were many, many different food choices for the Food Festival. You can get a brochure there that includes a map and a listing of every restaurant, hotel, etc. that was offering food (and the specifics of what they were offering) related to the festival. You can purchase tickets at various places to use to pay for your food purchases. The food offerings for the festival were generally "taste" sizes that didn't cost much, so you can enjoy several different offerings around town without breaking the bank.
