We are ending our 10 day trip around Ireland in Dingle. I'm looking for a B&B with terrific ocean views. We'll be in Dingle for 2-3 nights. I truly just want to relax, sit outside and gaze upon the water at the beginning and end of the day. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
I'm not sure you'd call it a "terrific ocean view" but the Greenmount House has a very pleasant view across fields and towards the inner harbor. If you really want to see the ocean itself, I'd guess you want a place outside of the town proper where the actual ocean is in view, such as properties East of town and South of N86 road. Such a location may look down upon the open sea. Enjoy.
We stayed at a B&B called Imeall Na Mara. It was lovely and we had a view of the ocean from our room in the front. It was not right on the ocean but across the street from a field with sheep so the view was unobstructed. It was in a quiet place away from town and there was a bar/restaurant within walking distance but not much more. The owners were very nice and the B&B was clean and modern. They had cake and tea for us when we arrived and the breakfast was excellent. It was just a great place to relax and we all enjoyed our stay there.
I’ll 2nd Greenmount House B & B it’s a great spot. We stayed there for 3 nights last summer. It was very relaxing. The view of the water is across fields to the water with rolling hills in the background. Really very lovely. The rooms are generously sized. And the food is excellent. I am an evening glass of wine and relax with a view traveler and this was probably my best spot of the 3 week vacation. The rooms we stayed in had an exterior door with a small patio area with chairs.
We stayed at The Pax, it has views of Dingle Harbor. The rooms have binoculars so you can look for Fungi.
Thanks for all the great advice! We've decided to stay in town, and then visit Inch for a few hours on our way to Killarney National Park.
