Dingle B&B

I'm having trouble finding a great place to stay in Dingle for this summer (end of June).
We need to find a place for 4 nights. We found availability at Quayside but the reviews seemed a little negative (super small rooms, dirty, long narrow stairs, etc.) We do, however, like small family run B&Bs with good breakfasts and don't expect huge rooms - just something that would be enjoyable for a 4-night stay.
I'm not sure how important it is to stay right in town. We are in our mid '70's and don't party a lot. I'm sure we will be doing a bit of imbibing at the local pubs, however.
Any suggestions?

We have stayed at the Lighthouse just outside of town but is walkable even after visiting a pub believe me we know! have been there three times. It is lovely with good breakfast great view and wonderful rooms. You might be trying to book early as some B&B shut down for a few winter months but give them a try.

We stayed at Brosnans and enjoyed in thoroughly. Walkable to everything, good breakfast and warm hosts.

How important do you think it is to stay in town? We found a marvelous sounding b&b (Heatons) on the far side of town - about a 15 minute walk. Is parking easy in the center of Dingle?

There is a parking lot by the marina. We parked there any time we went down town. We stayed at Dunlavin House which is just past the bridge on the edge of town.

In August we stayed at O’Neills and it was perfect. Quiet, delicious breakfasts, the nicest host, and plenty of free parking. The first time we went to Dingle we stayed just out of town. As much as I loved that place I wanted to be able to walk around town and get back to my lodging on this last trip so if I wanted a drink I wouldn’t be driving afterwards. They are very strict about drinking and driving in Ireland.

My friend, who I am traveling with next June, has been to Ireland 5-6 times (her husband is originally from Ireland, tells me that her favorite B&B in the whole country is Castlewood House. It is an easy walk to town. I am looking forward to staying there on our trip, https://www.castlewooddingle.com/

Pax House is lovely, but is not walkable to town. About 1 mile, but you would be on the road with cars, no sidewalk. We stayed three nights and drove into town. We were there in July and were able to find parking every time. However, next time I want to be in town.

Heaton's and Castlewood are right next to each other and are a fairly easy walk in to town. On a Best of Ireland trip several years ago half the group stayed at Heaton's, half at the other and we all walked back and forth to the city center q number of times.

RS guide Stephen McPhilemy owns Milltown House which is just across the tiny end of the bay from Heatons/Castlewood and would still be an easy walk. I thought I'd read somewhere that he opened a 2nd accommodation but don't know it's name or location.

Thank you all for the recommendations -- so many good options!
We decided to book Brosnan's for a variety of reasons: 1) It's right in town, 2) The prices are reasonable, -- but mainly 3) After reading the reviews, it sounds like the owner is a fascinating gentleman and is very engaging to speak with. That's important to us! In thinking about our previous travels, we seem to remember the people we met more than the museums we go to!
