Hi! I need a place for 2 nights in Dingle. I have looked at the Pax House and it is lovely, but is there anything nice in town or is the walk bad to the Pax House? We would like to visit the pubs and not worry about having to get back to the hotel. Thanks!
Castlewood House is lovely and very walkable. It has recently won all sorts of awards, so they may not have much availability. We have also stayed at Greenmount - also walkable, but on the other side of the restaurant area.
I second Castlewood House. It is very very nice and the breakfast is wonderful. We stayed there 3 nights and easily walked everywhere. We will stay there again on our next trip.
Mill town House in Dingle is wonderful! One of the owners is a RS guide in Ireland and it is located across the bridge. :lovely with lots of charm and wonderful scones!
Emlagh House is nice, and easily walkable to the center of town. We stayed there at the end of May.
More of a small hotel than a B&B, so not particularly personal attention, but quite nice, with a good breakfast in a sunny room.
Enjoy!!
We stayed at Browne's B&B, which is a short walk away from the "downtown" part of Dingle. The hosts, John and Camilla, were wonderful. On our arrival, that sat down with us and gave us advice - what pubs had the best music that night, their favorite restaurants, some tips on the Slea Head drive, etc. The breakfasts were awesome, and the price could not be beat.
We also enjoyed Emlagh Hotel. Our room was on ground floor and had a private patio. The excellent breakfast was included in the room rate and parking in the gated lot was handy.
The Kirrary House B&B is right downtown, a short walk from everything. Eileen Collins is most hospitable, and husband Tim leads history tours of the peninsula.
We also loved, loved, loved Castlewood House! Everything was wonderful from the excellent breakfast to the very friendly hosts, I would go back there in a minute!
