Global Village. An Canteen was fantastic, but I heard they closed or are closing soon. Reel Dingle Fish for take away fish and chips. We had a nice meal at John Benny Moriarty's pub. Out of the Blue is supposed to be fantastic, but we didn't eat there so I can't personally vouch for it. Definitely get ice cream at Murphy's Ice Cream on Strand St. There are many other really excellent places too, by no means consider this an exhaustive list.

We enjoyed a special birthday dinner at Out of the Blue. Reservations probably necessary.

Out of the Blue for sure, really good, a little spendy, but we loved it. We had a lemon posset there and the chef was kind enough to write down his recipe and discuss it with us. We also had a good seafood dinner at Lord Baker's.

Out of the Blue, Ashe's, Au Canteen. For lunch, we really like that little tea room above a pottery out on the Slea Head drive.

Greetings from Dingle.
An Canteen is has moved out of its address and is closed at present (May 2016), I see it recommended in a previous post.

Dingle is Irelands official foodie town, by far the gourmet capital of the country, and I visit Kinsale every 2 weeks so my opinion on it not being as amazing as Dingle is based on experience.

My top 5 restaurants in town are Out of the Blue (seafood only), Ashes, Doyles, Chart House and Global village.
Average price in the restaurants for a meal is around €25 and a bottle of wine €20-25 average
There are probably another 5-10 great restaurants in town though.

My top 5 pubs for food are John Bennys, Dannos, The Marina, Geaneys and Murphys. Average price for a meal in these spots is about €14. But theres at least another 3 good pubs for food

Enjoy whichever ones you end up choosing

Out of the Blue ( not much to look at from outside) and Chart House were both excellent

We have always had a good meal at Murphy's Pub and the Chart House for a splurge.

We also ate at Anchor Down. It's great if you love seafood--just OK if you don't. My husband had the John Dory, which we had never heard of before, and thought it was delicious.
