My wife and I are flying to Derry (from Athens after Ionian islands) in early October. We will have a full day in Derry before leaving the next morning (likely by car rental) to Newgrange. We will have 4 full days to sightsee. Considering Portrush, Bushmills, Giant's Causeway, and Antrim Coast along the route. Will skip Belfast (and Dublin city) this trip. Spend last evening near Newgrange and drop rental car at or take taxi/uber to DUB airport last morning. Would rather avoid car rental (but have experience in Ireland & UK), but bus/train on this path seems to add way too much time in transit. Your thoughts/suggestions on this route, sights, and stops for overnight. Also, any suggested care rental that will allow me to drive rental car from Northern Ireland to Ireland. Much appreciated.
