I'm staying in Cordal, County Kerry for a week in July, and I'm trying very hard not to overplan and just relax. But I'd like to have ideas for day trips in a radius of about 100 km/90 minutes drive time tucked in my back pocket. From Rick's book and this forum, I've got plenty of ideas for the peninsulas. Looking inland, Counties Limerick and Cork are adjacent. Rick has all of one item to see there - the Rock of Cashel. Recent threads mention King John's Castle in Limerick a few times. Any other suggestions for easy destinations, one per day, heading away from Dingle/Kerry etc.? We might include County Clare too if it's not too far.
All ideas most appreciated.
