Day trip to Giant's Causeway

Any tips about going to see the Giant's Causeway? We will be in Belfast just curious of the best way to get there, tour bus/ Car rental? Any other options?

You can do a day trip with Paddywagon. It's fine. My friend and I did it because we didn't want to drive. If you're comfortable renting a car, you'll have that flexibility to take in more of the coast, as well as the rope bridge and maybe a beach. There is also a way to use public transportation to get out there. https://www.translink.co.uk

There should be tours of both the causway and Carrick a Rede bridge as they are close together. We saw both on the same day, but we had a rental car.

The large tour buses don't stop at the rope bridge. The one I was on (Paddywagon) stopped at the Dark Hedges (meh), Dun Luce castle (excellent) and the GC, plus a stop at pub (also, meh).

Drove but that was 30 years ago. No one there but the 3 of us. We then drove from there to Londonderry. Twas during the Troubles. Definitely an adventure.

I agree. Skip the Hedges. Dunluce is well worth the time. We didn't do the bridge (off season), but liked the overlook at mussendon and the GC.

The McComb’s Game of Thrones Tour included a stop at Giants Causeway when we took it in 2019. Departs from Belfast.
