Day tour from Dublin?

Hi all! I’ll be visiting Dublin in May for a couple days and wanted to venture out of the city and book a day tour - what city would you recommend as a must see for day trip? I’m a bit overwhelmed with all the options offered.
Thanks so much in advance!!

What sort of things are you wanting to see/do on your day tour?

Newgrange (Brú na Bóinne) is an amazing site if you are into prehistory and the Mary Gibbons tour is very highly rated. However, if prehistory isn't your thing, you might want to think about something else...

Another alternative would be a day trip to the Wicklow mountains with Powerscourt Gardens and the lovely early Christian site of Glendalough.

If you waznt another town, then Kilkenny would fit the bill with its castle, cathedral, Black Abbey, Smithwick's Experience...
