We are going to a needlework retreat and I’m planning on taking little pincushions as gifts. They are made out of walnut shells...is this allowed through customs? I know it says no plants or bulbs...I’m sure that has to do with bringing invasive species into the country - since these are just the shell I’m hoping it is ok but wanted to check. Thanks for any advice

First, customs in Europe rarely checks anything. Generally it is just a walk through the Green Door -- Nothing to Declare. And you have nothing to declare. So I think you are good to go.
