Hi: I went to Italy before the American election last year and change is travel policy for some countries. I will be going to Ireland (in and out of Dublin) next month. Has anyone seen any issues or attitudes changed for Americans since then? Thank you
No change as long as you are spending money and are not trying to immigrate.
Everybody is extremely curious about The Donald. I think they get a kick out of him.
I'm going to wear a button that says "Don't blame me, I didn't vote for him."
The Italians all told me "Been there. Done that. His name was Berlusconi!"
Funnily enough, you will likely find that there are many conservative Europeans, just as there are many conservative Americans. The love of travel, exploring new places, learning about new cultures, etc. is not reserved exclusively for those on the left. Happy travels.
I was just in Dublin last week and there's no change, so don't worry about it and enjoy the trip.
Good idea, Frank II.
We were in France in December, and had quite an interesting conversation with a French about #45. They were pleased that we didn't drink the Kool Aid.
