Hi everyone, I have 8 nights in Ireland at the end of July for a wedding. The last 4 nights are 2 nights in Kinsale proper, and 2 nights at the hotel venue near Kinsale. Prior to that we have 4 days where we were going to do a road trip in the area but my husband has got cold feet about driving there, and cars are fairly expensive (although I did find a good deal) outside of Cork.
Hotels are expensive but we decided to base in Cork without a car, at a hotel near the train station. I'd love any recommendations for sightseeing that aren't too onerous without a car and are less expensive if possible - I've already got crazy sticker shock from this trip in general! Any advice is welcome. I may be able to get a friend to drive us somewhere one day, we're thinking Sheepshead Peninsula if he's available. Thanks for your suggestions!
