Hi all!
Considering an upcoming trip to Dublin, can anyone suggest some good countryside day-trips? Ideally with some nice green hills/lots of nature. Driving or public transport is okay. Thanks!

The RS Guide lists the following. North of Dublin: Valley of the Boyne including Bru na Boinne and the town of Trim; south of Dublin: Powerscourt Gardens, Glendalough, and Widklow Mountains; and west of Dublin: Irish National Stud.
This website was launched by Dublin Bus earlier this year. It covers trips in and around Dublin and further afield, including transport and tours.
Excellent post by epltd. In the north super stress Bru na Boinne - both Newgrange and Knowth it's so worth it. Would also include Tara. In the south also agree on Glendalough especially with great short or long hikes nearby. If near Tinahely the Tomnafinogue Woods are a hgreat easy beautiful hike we loved and drop by The Dyin Cow pub - especially on a Thursday night for amazing trad music in a great atmosphere. Have fun !
