We are making a day stop on our cruise in Cobh and of course we have an opportunity to spend the day in Cobh or split the time and take the train to Cork as well. Looking for suggestions on what to see in each city and the best way to spend the limited amount of time.

We dock in Cobh @ 7:00 and we need to be back on the ship @ 5:00

A lot depends on what you want to do as there is plenty to do and see in either place to fill up the day. There is also a 30 minute train service between the two. Cork is much the larger place of the two - its population is about ten times that of Cobh. A lot may depend on whether you want to big city or small town experience. Rather than try and do both, it may be better to slow down and just enjoy one.
