Planning on 3 nights in this neighborhood. Could stay in one while visiting the other two. Cork may be too urban, but it’s centrally located. Recommendations and/or reviews welcomed!!!
Kinsale is a beautiful seaside town, charming town.
My vote is Kinsale. It is one of my favorite places in Ireland. Great charm, wonderful music in several pubs and yummy food. What more could you want????
Of those three 1 -Kinsale. 2- Waterford. #37 - Cork.
Kinsale is nice. Waterford okay. I'd rather stay in about 20-30 other places in Ireland than those for a variety of reasons....but Kinsale IS really nice.....just overall location isn't as convenient as other spots....but well worth a visit. Hope you have a great fun trip.
Kinsale. We enjoyed the Old Presbytery Inn....first-floor room with the little balcony overlooking their private, quiet parking area. Phillipe,Noreen and their daughter are fabulous hosts.
My wife’s family is from the Cork area, my family’s from Donegal. She’s never really been anywhere. She was born & raised on Oahu, lived in Ft. Myers, FL from 16-23 then moved back to Oahu. This will be her first trip out of the country, primarily to see our daughter who’s doing a “study abroad” program in Paris next Spring. We need to cover the entire island in about 2 weeks. I’m not that familiar with the Cork area, though as a historian, Kinsale interests me most. (Well, there and the Midleton Distillery just east of Cork.)
Than is for your suggestions.
