We've decided to take the ferry to Inishmore but it looks like there are two possibilities. We will be staying in Galway and will have dropped off our car there. What is the best easiest ferry for us to get a bus from Galway?
We will be staying the night in Inishmore at a bnb close to the ferry landing and on our return to Galway the next day, will take a bus to the Dublin airport where we will stay the night and fly home the next day.
Is there a problem taking our suitcases on the ferry? (We will be traveling with suitcases that just barely fit in the carry on bins of planes plus a small carry on each) We could leave them in Galway at our last bnb but would prefer taking them with us so we don't have to coordinate picking them up on our return.
It looks like buses leave Galway at least every hour for Dublin. Do we need a reservation??

Have you looked at the Aran Island Ferries? They run a bus from Galway to the ferry terminal in Rossaveel. https://www.aranislandferries.com/time-tables/inismor. We plan on carrying our suitcases onto the ferry - I don't think that is an issue. Not sure about bus reservations, but I always feel better if I have one.
