Connor Pass

Staying in Dingle for two nights and want to see Connor Pass. Trying to decide whether to drive out and back or take the eastern loop around and back to Dingle.

Guess it depends on what else you want to do that day. If you plan to do Slea Head Drive then going up to Conor Pass, taking your photos, and then returning to Dingle is probably the way to go.
If you're up for something off the beaten tourist track then I'd suggest continuing clockwise to the Glanteenassig Forest Park for a picnic and maybe the short hike around the pretty little loch. The name translates to "little glen of waterfalls" and you'll see why once you get there. It's one of our favorite places on the Dingle peninsula.
Continuing around will bring you to the village of Annascaul where you'll find the South Pole Inn - a local pub started by Antarctic explorer Tom Crean back around 1920 when he retired from the Royal Navy. His was a fascinating career which included a stint as second officer on the ill-fated Shackleton expedition of 1914. The pub is essentially a little museum with artifacts and photos from his long career. Serves decent pub grub and an excellent pint, BTW.
A little further on is Inch Beach - a magnificent stretch of white sand stretching to the horizon and which was where some scenes of the old David Lean film "Ryan's Daughter" were filmed.
