Hi, I am trying to book flights from the US to Dublin. I see a lot of short connections through Heathrow. One is for 1 hour 15 minutes and one is for 1 hour 55 minutes. We will be checking bags but I’m sure they get checked all the way through to Dublin. Do we have to get bags in customs or is it a quick walk-through passport control? Are either of these connections long enough? TIA

The 1 hour and 55 minutes is probably better as it gives you a little more "elbow room". If possible, however, I'd look for a connection that's still a bit longer. In any event, at least you'll be in London and getting to Dublin will not be as big a deal as missing a connection in the U.S.

You won't need to pick up bags in London. They'll fly through to Dublin.
Ditto on not choosing a 1hr 15min connection at Heathrow.
