Will be in Belfast and then Derry next June. I love a good espresso and especially like local places. Some of my best coffee last time in Ireland was in a little shop in Ennis.
Any suggestions for Belfast and Derry?
Thanks!

I have tried Cafe Nero and wasn't impressed. Starbucks by another name. I want local coffee, local people and local atmosphere
Local coffee? As far as I know, no coffee is grown in Ireland.
Oh, you never know. Perhaps in the bowels of Belfast where the Wee Folks hide, they might have a coffee plant or two next to their still.....
It is the local roasting that I enjoy. Most areas have coffee roasters, even if they cant get a bean or two from the Wee Folks.
Thanks for the update Paul. Always nice to hear from a local.
And your right I enjoyed CA coffee in 2013.
Where do you enjoy coffee in either Belfast or Derry?
In Belfast, The Pocket over near Queen's University (good food, too if you are looking for breakfast). While in that area, do consider stopping over to see the Belfast Botanical Gardens.
My Irish Granny is rolling over in her grave at the thought of anyone choosing espresso over a cuppa, but hey, every now and then I get a hankering for a latte so I get it.
