How are the towns on County Clare's west coast looking recently, Kilkee and/or Lahinch specifically? Is there much damage evident from the storm a year ago. News reports I found suggested not many repairs had been done in Kilkee as of May 2014.

Our Ireland expert says: "I was in Lahinch last June and the town seemed to be doing fine. There were incredible waves that slammed that section of the coast last winter. But the damage will not affect the average visitor and you have to go looking for it to find it. I’ve not been in Kilkee for a couple years, but my assumption would be they are doing okay as well. Bottom line: don’t avoid the County Clare coast based in these storms a year ago."
