Cliffs of Moher-tour option questions

Hello all,
I have been reading comments on the Forum and researching full day tours from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher. We are interested in seeing the Cliffs from the Water (recommended by forum) and also walking on top.

There are only a couple tour options that include the boat viewing. I am having trouble deciding between taking a tour that visit is Galaway vs Doolin. Stopping at castle vs ring fort and sheep dog demo.

Another question: is the visitor exhibit at the Cliffs worth it? Some tours include it some don’t.

I know a lot is what we are interested in and to be honest anything we see will be new so I don’t think there is a wrong answer. Any advice or experience with tours would be appreciated. I have been looking at the Viator tours for the most part.
Thanks as always for your suggestions and advice and mostly for taking the time to read my ramble.
Cheers,
Kerry

Hi Kerry.
The idea of going from one big city (Dublin) to see another big city (Galway) doesn't appeal to me personally, so I would opt for Doolin. Doolin is a very small village, and there's not much there, so it shouldn't take very long (leaving more time for the cliffs). I will say that the scenery in and around Doolin is lovely. As far as the exhibit at the visitor's center at the COM, it really didn't do much for me....if my time was limited (like on a tour) I'd rather spend it walking along the cliffs and not watching a movie about the cliffs. Just my opinion, of course.

Hi Russ,
Thank you so much for the exact information I was looking for. That makes my decision easier. I agree with you completely about seeing the cliffs more outside rather than the inside. Doolin sounds like a great place to have a bite to eat and a pint of Guinness.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions.

Cheers,

Kerry
