While in Dublin, we will have one day to do an all day excursion. I am currently looking at 2 tours: Cliffs of Moher/Doolin and Blarney Castle/Cork/Rock of Cashel. I have 2 parents and 4 adult children. Any thoughts or information provided would be appreciated.
So hard to say.... On a nice clear day, for sure the Cliffs. On a rainy, foggy day, Blarney as you will see nothing at the Cliffs.
Hi there,
I agree with Sharon. If its rainy or foggy there is no much to see at the Cliffs. That's exactly what I saw.
At the Castle, I was surprised at the other spots around the gardens. Check out their website.
I had an extra day before I left Ireland and I did a day tour to the Giants Causeway with Wild Rover Tours. Really enjoyed it. Stopped in Belfast - there you can tour the Titanic Museum or do a Black Taxi tour (I did that). Then off to a rope bridge and finally the causeway. The Belfast sites and the rope bridge are included in the tour price. The visitor center at the Giants Causeway is not included in the price, but I enjoyed the almost 2 hours of exploring and ate my lunch out on the basalt rocks.
Whatever you decide to do, you will have fun!
