Clifden B&B recommendations

We (family of 5) are staying in Clifden for 4 nights and I am looking for recommendations on Bed and Breakfasts. Most importantly, we want to be centrally located...walking distance to town, but would also love a view of the water.

With 5 of us, we will likely need to get 2 rooms (a double and double/twin or triple) and are fine with that....although want to stay around $200/night total, so looking at more of the moderate level places vs the amazing Quay House. I am also considering a house rental through AirBandB, but there is no savings (at least $800) and I am concerned we will miss out on the coziness of B&B and interaction with the owners and other travellers, sharing stores and learning about hidden gems, hikes, restaurants and where to go next....

Through Airbnb, I booked a 4 bedroom townhouse for 4 nights this coming May for $320 total. I can’t give a personal review until we return but it has everything I was looking for at a good price.

I stayed at the Buttermilk Lodge in Clifden. You can walk to town, but you will be walking uphill on your return, No waterview, but lovely hosts, nice rooms, good breakfast and common room.

We stayed at Mallmore Country House B&B summer 2017. Since then it’s been the exemplar with which I compare any other B&Bs. It was that wonderful.
Only drawback was that it was too far to walk to town.
