Christmas in Dublin advice

Hello

My girlfriend and I are traveling to Dublin this Christmas, for a week, to meet her daughter and daughters husband from Marseille, France. I've been to Dublin before but never during Christmas time. We're likely going to book something on VRBO for accomodations but was wondering if there is anyone out there with some specific advice on things to do, see, or places to eat, unique to the Christmas holiday? Accomodations advice is also welcome.

Thank you!!!

Paul

Paul, we found an excellent B & B in Dublin, and really enjoyed it. With a B & B, in addition to having a great breakfast ready for you each day, you have an owner-kind of a built in tour guide. PJ at Tinode House is that person, a real ambassador for his city. The first question for B & B will be regarding availability for that time of year, but if you can, I recommend it over an apartment or hotel.
For an excellent lunch or dinner, check out The Pig's Ear, a couple of blocks from Trinity College.
Here's a link for Tinode House-

I'd recommend attending mass or a Christmas eve church of irelend (protestant) service......think of being surrounded by all of those great irish voices!!!
