Christmas eve train to Belfast

I have a rather frantic question if anybody can give me an idea. We will be going from Connally Station tomorrow. We are leaving Wicklow county early tomorrow morning and hopefully be at car return by 8:30, then catch a taxi to the station. Will we be able to just get a ticket when we get to the station or do I need to book one,...I will have to roughly guess the time, due to the circumstances. Has anybody had any experience like that?

All trains on Irish Rail are turn up and go (even if you have to stand), and all on that route tomorrow are showing currently as having seating capacity.

For cheapness you could book a ticket on, say the 1050 as you can amend online up to 60 minutes before scheduled departure, if you have online data. Thus if you booked the 1050 and arrived in time for the 0950 you could change on line.

But the 0950, 1050, 1150 and 1250 are all showing currently as having over 200 second class seats on each train available so I would just turn up and buy on the spot.
