Hi.
I'm thinking of changing my hotel due to worries about the dollar tanking and for other reasons as well.
I'd like to find one close to the river and Trinity College if possible as well as a couple of bookshops.
Currently, I'm booked for The Gresham.
I'm an older, single lady.

Try the Harding Hotel. It is near Christchurch. I have stayed there several times and have found it very comfortable. The pub downstairs has music and good food, yet we didn't experience pub noise.
You didn’t give a time frame, but if your trip is during university holidays, Trinity College itself is very reasonable.

Thanks so much, mjomdal! I went to the Harding Hotel site; in 5 minutes, two rooms had sold and one was left on every site. So I booked it!

One place to consider is the Green Hotel -- right off St. Stephen's Green. Very nice place at a fair value.
