Catching Flight Home/Timing

I'm planning my first ever trip to Ireland in late May. We fly into and out of Dublin. After extensive research, we've determined we really want to spend 2 overnights in Galway/Connemara Area, 1 overnight in Doolin and 2 overnights on the Dingle Pennisula.

We are renting a car and driving most of the trip. However, in order to make the best use of our time, I want to fly from Kerry to Dublin for our return flight to the US. Our flight leaves Dublin at 4:15pm on a Tuesday. Do we dare wait and take a flight that same morning at 8:30am from Kerry to Dublin for the 4:15 out of Dublin? It seems like this should allow plenty of time. Has anyone had experience with this?

It does sound like plenty of time. If the flight is scheduled to land in Dublin at 9:30, and you need to check in for the later flight around 2 p.m. (14:00), then you still have several hours to accommodate possible delays.
