We are staying an hour or so away from Galway. We plan to take the train from Dublin to Galway. Is there a car rental place near the train station, to continue on the next leg of our trip on the west coast? Thank you!

We took the bus to Galway, so I'm not exactly sure where the train station is. That said, we picked up our rental car in downtown Galway (after a couple nights out on Inis Mór).
We arranged our car rental in advance through Gemut.com (we always use them for European rentals whenever we can). They set us up with a car from Budget. Budget's office was in/near central Galway, making it easy.
Assuming the train station is near the center, it should be doable. Tell the guys at Gemut you want to pick up the car somewhere near the train station, they'll show you your options.
