What is some advice for car insurance when renting a car in Ireland?
Your credit card won't cover it.
Buy FULL cdw from the rental agency.
Kathy, see post below called Driving in Ireland. Ed is correct and I have personal experience of the value of his advice:"...So the extra $80 or so that I spent to get a zero deductible just saved me $1350.00"
Enjoy Ireland, but be sure to cover yourself so you don't have regrets should something go wrong. Don't rely on the "insurance" provided by credit cards.
Have fun!
Dave
Same as the others - buy the "super CDW" that takes care of most, if not all, of your deductible. I have regretted the one time I didn't.
