Is visiting in May going to result in everything being closed, or is is "almost" like the summer months? Also, the (only) B&B is showing temporarily closed on Google Maps - no indication if it's a seasonal thing. Anyone have any knowledge on the subject? I've sent some emails, but haven't heard anything back.

See the post of 8 February 2023 on their facebook page to the effect that they are closed for the 2023 season for personal reasons but PLAN to re-open for the 2024 season.

To answer my own question, I did get an email response from Cape Clear's tourism organization, and they said May is fine if the weather is okay, but music won't reliably happen till June and a few places will be closed.
