Can't pay eflow toll with Canadian credit card! Any other ideas?

We just arrived in Ireland and picked up our car from Europcar, which doesn't pay the M50 tolls and charge it to your card. We tried to pay the M50 toll using the Eflow website when we arrived in Kilkenny, but the site required us to verify our transaction with our bank using a code texted to our phone. Unfortunately, both our phones have European sim cards in them now so there's no way to receive a text to those numbers. The website says we can pay in person in many locations; has anyone ever tried this? We're finding the entire experience very frustrating.

Can you remove or turn off the e-sim on one of the phones and then receive texts via wi-fi?

Thanks for the idea. We tried it just now though (with someone trying to send us a text from a North American phone and a European one) and they didn't go through on wifi.

You may need to contact your cell provider and activate a foreign data plan, maybe. Not sure how it works for you, but I just turn my phone on with an international plan from Verizon, $100 a month unlimited text/data plus cellular, the point being I have to sign up for the plan, or activate it, before each trip.

For the most part it's so much easier to get a sim when you arrive. I paid ten pounds for 21 gb over 30 days when I arrived. We are being totally ripped off in North America for cellular data. Our friends in the UK have a plan with 4 phones for 30 pounds a month.

But I think my main issue is the Canadian bank verification process that this particular website is routing me through. I've pretty much given up on figuring out a way to pay online at this point; hoping someone has experience with paying it in person.

From the M50 website-

If you choose to create a post-pay account, you will receive a monthly invoice showing all journeys and fees due. The amount shown on your monthly invoice will be payable to eFlow between the 12th and 18th of the following month. This payment is automatic, with a payment means saved on your account. If you choose not to sign-up to an eFlow account, then you will have to pay for your tolls manually. These payments must be made before 8pm the following day, otherwise a late payment penalty will be incurred. This can be done online here, by telephoning our customer service team on 0818501050 or at any Payzone retail outlet across Ireland.
'Here' is this web page- https://secure.eflow.ie/#/pay-a-toll

The simplest thing is to ask your hotel where the closest Payzone shop is.
