I was just wondering if anyone had seen this fort and if so, is the entrance fee, which seems a bit still, if worth the cost? Thanks.

Didn't go to Caherconnell even though we had planned to. Don't know if you will be driving the Ring of Kerry but we saw 3 ring forts there and decided that would do. Our favorites were Cahergal & Leacanabuaile, right near each other and with a nice castle ruin close by as well. Can't remember for sure if the RS book includes them but they were great and free. There were just the 3 of us and one other couple there clambering about.

We were at this fort this spring. The fort is not really the main attraction but is interesting. However the sheep dog demonstration was very much worth this visit. The dogs trainer loves to interact with the crowd. Glad we went. I think the fort fee and demo fee are separate ??

Thanks. We've got sheep and seen a lot of sheep dog trials. Always interesting, but we'll likely not take that. Depends on the weather, though.
