I must be looking in the wrong places but I cannot find any bus tours for these two places. We will be staying in Galway for a few days and then maybe over to Cork. We would love to take a bus tour of these spots but have checked everywhere from Viator to City Discovery and then onto taxi drivers. Does anyone have knowledge of a bus tour leaving Dingle or Kilarney or somewhere??? I read somewhere that there were actual buses that left the city ( like a city bus) that do this but again, can't find it? We will be there in September 20th and onward. Open to any suggestions? Help....
Try Paddy Wagon tours. I have not used them myself, but my friends took an overnight tour from Dublin to Dingle and enjoyed it. They seem to have many options that leave from different cities.
Thanks Stephanie...
Departing from Dingle town, the local option recommended in Rick's Ireland book is a 2.5 hour van tour with Sciúird Archaeology Tours. They don't have a web site.
I highly agree with the recommendation for the Archeology Tour in Dingle. We went with Mr Collins and it was the best morning we could have ever spent.
In summer they are busy so call ahead to get on the list. September might not be quite as bad, but I would call anyway.
Most Ring of Kerry tours start in Killarney. We took the Corcoran tour and had a great time. It is a small bus, 16 passengers. They made about 5 stops, including lunch.
I recently did the Ring of Kerry tour on a small bus originating in Killarney through Deros Tours. Our guide/driver was Ray Furlong and he was fantastic. This was arranged through a bigger Railtours Ireland tour so no idea of the individual price or how far ahead they book.
