How do I buy a ticket for the bus in the city center of Dublin? Can I just pay when I board the bus?

You can pay the driver in coins only, no change given. If you will be using public transport a good bit, consider getting a Leap Card or Visitor Leap Card. Saves searching for change! https://www.leapcard.ie/en/NavigationPages/CardPurchase.aspx

We're using the Freedom package (on Do Dublin website) which includes 48 hours Do Dublin Hop off tour bus AND multi-day Leap Visitor card for public transportation. DO NOT DRIVE IN DUBLIN AT ALL.
