bus or private driver from Killarney to Galway

Hi there - 4 of us are planning travel for May 2026. Mostly by rail but no direct train from Killarney to Galway. Would you take busses (and what route) or hire a private driver? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Bus #14 from Killarney to Limerick every two hours, a 25 minute change into hourly bus #51 to Galway. Both run by Bus Eirrean.
