When we went in 2018 we spent about 3-4h (w/o a lunch pause). We had a daughter-in-law with us who’s great grandmother came from that area so she was especially interested soaking up the details. We enjoyed our day there.
EDIT: Tip, if it’s a night at the castle with a medieval meal, you may get shooed out sooner than the normal closing time. Also it’s a long narrow swath of land from the castle to the Folk Park so getting to the opposite end to see buildings, gardens and beautiful views takes time too. Sounds like we were a bit rushed in our 3-4 hours so plan accordingly. DIL had a medical emergency that morning so we got a late start…

Thanks Mona. This is most helpful in planning our time tomorrow. We plan to make a stop there as we transition from Dingle to Galway.
