booking tours in Ireland: i.e., sheepherding demonstration

Maybe someone here can help me on this. My husband and I are traveling to Ireland in June and are renting a car. I would like to book some tours, for example i would love to see a sheepherding demonstration. i am having trouble actually booking something like this as a tour. Have looked on getyourguide.com, on the website of an actual sheep farm where they talk about the demonstrations (but don't offer a way to reserve a tour) , and on Tripadvisor, but haven't found very much. I see a couple of tours of the Dingle peninsula from Killarney, for example, but they are all day, and nothing including a sheepherding demonstration. Are tours like this all organized by third-party tour companies? i don't necessarily need to book a full-day bus tour with many stops, as we have a car, but am having difficulty figuring out how to do this.

Any advice welcome! thanks.

Here’s the website for Kissane Sheep Farm (https://kissanesheepfarm.com/index.html). Note the Calendar showing when the sheep herding demonstrations will happen, and the Contact Us page, so you can verify when would be a good time to come. Edited: you can go as individuals, not as part of a tour. Just let them know.

And if Kissane dates and times don’t work, here’s contact info for another place, Caitins: https://www.activeme.ie/guides/sheepdog-trials-kells-sheep-centre-kerry/

This is not a tour, though. It is a demonstration and you stop, as you drive the Ring of Kerry. For either of these two places, you would probably actually be booking a RoK tour and make sure it stops, as opposed to booking a tour of just the demonstration. And of course, you can drive yourself and just make your own reservation without a tour.

Thanks so much! wrote to Kissane because they didn't have June dates listed and they said they would be posting them soon. And i will check into the other one as well texastravelmon. We do have a car, so may try to do this on our own without a tour.

We went to one on the Dingle peninsula. www.dingleshepdogs.com. I emailed a day ahead of time and he told me what time he planned a demonstration. It was fun and informative and very scenic. It's on the Slea Head Loop Drive.

If by chance you are in the Connemara area near Galway, Killary Sheep Farm on the Killary fjord has regular demonstrations in the summer. Check the website for dates/times and book ahead. https://killarysheepfarm.com/
Lots of other things to see in this beautiful area.

We were at Killary Sheep Farm in 2019. It was a rather short, but enjoyable stop, and the setting on the fjord, where they farm mussels, was very scenic.
