Does anyone have experience booking a pony trap tour ahead of time with Thomas Faherty? When I emailed they asked me to send my credit card information via email to secure the booking, but stressed that it wouldn't be charged until after tour...I am wary of sending them my card information. Does anyone know if this is how it is done? Would it be better to just wait until we arrive by ferry and hope that someone is available for a tour that day?

Haven't used him. I would think it's fine but we didn't have the slightest problem getting a pony cart ride right off the ferry. It might be at peak summer tourist season but actually the problem was who to choose with a bunch fairly aggressively trying to get you into their cart !
If you stop on Inisheer Tomas and his horse Captain were fantastic ! Can't remember the name of the man on Inis Mor but he was great and even sang a lament at the end. Really wonderful.
Don't think you'll have a problem getting a cart. Doubt there's a problem with leaving your CC info, but don't see the need.
