Planning a trip for this fall. Would like to book a holiday cottage for a week but I'm unfamiliar with any of the websites and want to be sure I book through a legit site. Does anyone have experience who can advise me? I know the location I want but cannot find a way to contact them directly.

We used HomeAway.com for a one bedroom cottage in Kinsale in 2012 and for a one bedroom cottage in Bushmills for this coming summer. We also used VRBO.com for a 6 bedroom house in Tipperary in 2012. Both of the rentals in 2012 exceeded our expectations and we have been pleased with the communications with the owner of the cottage in Bushmills so far. We have used both of these companies as well as Airbnb.com in several other countries and have always been happy with our choices.
