At the end of Sept 24, I will be with 2 friends in Galway and want to book a boat tour of the Cliffs of Moher and a stop (if possible) on the Arran Islands. Any recommendations?

There is a tour from Galway that goes to Inishmore and then cruises past the cliffs of Moher on the way back. You can book online at https://www.aranislandferries.com/galwaycity.

We were in Ireland this past May and we took a tour leaving from Galway with the Galway Tour Company. The guide /driver brought us to Doolin where we boarded the Doolin Ferry. The ferry took us to Inisheer where we had free time to explore the island. On our way back to Doolin , we sailed to the Cliffs of Moher . Following this ,we had lunch at a pub and then drove to the Cliffs of Moher where we had ample time to explore them from above. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend them.

Thanks for the suggestion - we did book w/ Galway on what sounds like the same trip you did.
