Doing a Heart of Ireland tour in early September. Any advantage to having a pair of binoculars?

We take a compact pair for examining architectural details on cathedrals and other similar buildings, especially for things like stained glass windows. Otherwise I don’t see much need for them, unless you’re a birdwatcher.

I just got back from Ireland. I carried my binoculars around for 18 days and never used them.
